Brad Gooch
After graduating with honors at North Georgia Technical College in 2007, Brad Gooch started at Lawson Air Conditioning & Plumbing (LACP) as a service technician. In 2012, he started his sales career with Lawson Air Conditioning in residential replacements and then moved into light commercial applications.
“One of my proudest achievements has been working with our exceptional team at LACP to consistently achieve Carrier’s Presidents Award every year since 2014,” Gooch said. “Carrier’s Presidents award is a national recognition of achievement for customer satisfaction, exceeding sales goals and training. Only 2% of Carrier’s dealers nationwide receive this designation.”
Additionally, over the last 24 months, the number of employees in the residential/light commercial division has grown 58%. LACP also has partnerships with local high schools and technical colleges, where Gooch has been able to form strong relationships to recruit young talent and help them dive headfirst into beginning their careers.
“Workforce development is a passion for us, and our company culture truly reflects a ‘recreate yourself’ mentality that is evident in all our divisions,” Gooch said. “I also have had the honor to judge the Associated General Contractors of GA Northeast Georgia Skills Challenge HVAC competition for the last four years.”
Gooch currently holds his state of Georgia Restricted Air License (and is working on non-restricted licenses), NATE certification, Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) certification, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification.
“I am committed to continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that I am always at the forefront of industry trends and innovations,”
Gooch said. “This dedication allows me to provide the highest caliber of service, leveraging the latest knowledge and best practices to meet and exceed customer expectations.”
With his affiliation with LAPC, eventually Gooch would like to be recognized as a leader in the residential/light commercial industry throughout northeast Georgia.
“My goals are staying ahead of the curve with the ever-evolving technology, efficiency ratings, and refrigerant changes that define our industry,” Gooch said. “My primary focus is on helping educate our customers and provide them the best possible system to align with what they want and need, while always mindful of their budgets and striving to exceed their expectations ... I aim to maintain the strongest team, serving our customers and partners with individual attention, and constantly seeking ways to grow and improve.”
