Matthew Hernandez entered HVAC deliberately, shifting from a lengthy stint in retail. Prompted by the encouragement of his family and the desire to change his career, at the age of 23 Hernandez seized an opportunity to apprentice under the guidance of a family friend at another HVAC company in Texas. He then moved on to another prominent HVAC firm, where he spent six years contributing to their growth and success and honing his craft.
Motivated by the unwavering support of his wife and co-founder, Bethany, Hernandez pursued and obtained his HVAC Class B License. This would mark a pivotal moment that propelled Matthew and Bethany to establish Mighty Air Techs.
Hernandez said his career is driven by a dual passion for technical mastery and community service. The goals are clear: to expand Mighty Air Techs into a team-driven enterprise that caters to the needs of the local community and surrounding counties. Additionally, Hernandez said the company aims to achieve the accolade of being recognized as the 2024 Best of the Best HVAC businesses in Victoria, Texas, which would be a testament to their commitment to excellence.
Hernandez notes beginning his HVAC career as one of the youngest HVAC apprentices in Victoria, Texas, and swiftly proving his dedication and skill in the field as one of his biggest HVAC accomplishments thus far — along with passing his Class B HVAC examination after persistent late-night study sessions, while overcoming challenges to solidify his expertise in the industry.
