Jacob Maag entered the HVAC industry eight years ago when he joined Worthington Industries’ cylinder business, initially supporting all commercial cylinder activities in the central plains and southwest U.S. territories, which included refrigerant cylinders as well as industrial, fire suppression, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders.
“Following the spinoff of our steel processing business units into Worthington Steel, we rebranded as Worthington Enterprises,” Maag said. “With this transition, we restructured our commercial team to specialize in our end markets. I was promoted to the role of national account manager, focusing on the refrigerant and spray foam end markets. In this capacity, I am dedicated to providing safe and reliable cylinder solutions to our refrigerant and spray foam customers.”
Worthington Enterprises takes pride in supporting U.S. manufacturing, and offering a low-risk source for refrigerant cylinders — Maag’s commitment extends to helping customers enhance their sustainability efforts by onshoring supply chains. This supports local economies and reduces environmental impact. Additionally, Maag works on developing new cylinder designs to meet the evolving needs within Worthington’s respective end markets.
“Furthermore, I assist our customers in navigating the ever-changing proposed rule changes of the AIM Act and other regulatory changes impacting the refrigerant cylinder market, ensuring they remain compliant and informed,” Maag said.
