In 2025, Peirce’s family will have been in the HVAC industry for 99 years. Peirce himself is the oldest fourth-generation of the family to work in the company and be part of the executive team leadership.
“The impact Peirce-Phelps had on so many people ultimately was the reason why I joined and want to give back,” Peirce said. “Opportunities to have an impact on the most amount of people in a positive way in which I had been impacted growing up, really was deciding factor to make this industry the place for me. Legacy in impacting people’s lives drives me to continue loving this industry.”
In Peirce’s role, he has made community involvement a priority of Peirce-Phelps.
“It does bring attention to those areas in our communities that are impacted by HVAC, either by the environmental impact by switching from natural gas to heat pumps, or by simply the need for homes to have mini-split units in low income areas,” Peirce said.
Peirce also helped develop the Heating, Air-Conditioning, & Refrigeration Distributors (HARDI) commercial council, and currently serves as its chairman.
“The group seeks to find solutions and ideas for recruitment into the industry on all levels, how we as distributors can provide services and products that make us the most impactful we can be for our clients and partners, and will dive into any potential opportunities that may arrive in the future,” Peirce said. ”It has been a really rewarding accomplishment, as I believe the group will ultimately help an untold amount of people with their own distribution businesses.”
Peirce has also developed a proprietary system that allows Peirce-Phelps to quote and provide pricing to their customers at enhanced speeds for commercial add-on/replacement (AOR) jobs, as well as plan and spec commercial take offs.
“The process involves round-the-clock abilities to work on quotes even while we sleep, providing both the sales team and our customers with a better quality of service and better work life balance,” Peirce said.
As for the rest of Peirce’s career, it’ll involve more professional development, networking, mentorship, innovation, ethical leadership, strategic vision, community engagement, legacy building, and ultimately, “Map the course in our industry so that we may bring the best minds together and ultimately leave a legacy of providing the world with comfort that’s affordable and environmentally conscious,” Peirce said. “This collaboration will attract more talent into the industry while simultaneously helping Peirce-Phelps continue to find innovative and strategic ways to help our customers succeed in life and business.”
