MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. — HVAC systems company Ice Air has joined NY-GEO, a not-for-profit trade association that seeks to grow the usage of geothermal heat pumps across the state of New York.
Ice Air’s membership reflects the company’s dedication to providing innovative, energy- efficient, and environmentally sound HVAC solutions, a press release from Ice Air said.
NY-GEO supports the adoption of geothermal heat pumps, which use water and the earth’s underground temperature to efficiently heat and cool buildings. The organization raises awareness, promotes legislative action, and educates professionals and the public to simplify the installation process.
Ice Air’s commitment to innovation and fostering industry collaboration made NY-GEO membership a natural choice, the press release said. With mandates to reduce building emissions, like Local Law 97, Ice Air’s role in NY-GEO is crucial, the press release said.
Ice Air will be exhibiting at the 2024 NY-GEO NYC Conference, scheduled for Monday, Oct. 21, through Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott. The Ice Air team will highlight the superior performance and energy savings of geothermal heat pumps, offering essential educational resources for building owners, developers, architects, and engineers, the press release said.
“We look forward to advancing the mission to expand the use of geothermal engineering in New York,” said Ric Nadel, Ice Air founder and CEO. “Ice Air’s heat pumps can reduce carbon emissions and lower operating costs, making them an ideal solution.”
