HOUSTON — Texas-based HVAC distributor Century A/C Supply is opening a 146,000-square-foot distribution center on Monday, Oct. 7.

The new location will be a hub for deliveries and will-call purchases, and will feature a new showroom, a press release from Century said. The distribution center is at 8785 Clay Road in Houston and will also serve, next year, as the home of the Century Lab & Training Center.

In anticipation of the opening of the new location, the branch on West 43^rd Street in Houston, which is a few blocks away, is permanently closing on Friday, Oct. 4.

“The opening of this new distribution center marks a significant milestone for our company as we continue to strive to be more efficient and better serve our customers. This facility represents our commitment to training, growth, and providing product to our customers in the Houston market,” said Century president Ricky Cheek. “We look forward to a future of continued success and expansion.”

The new distribution center’s operations will be managed by Karl Conolly, who has been with Century for more than 27 years.

The Clay Road location will offer a one-stop shopping experience, plus knowledgeable, friendly staffers, Century’s press release said. Century customers have access to training classes and an extensive offering of quality HVAC brands such as Ruud commercial and residential products, Honeywell, Global, Nu-Calgon, Pepco, and others. In addition, contractors can easily access Century’s technical support advisors, who have decades of experience and training.
