What caused you to/when did you enter the HVACR industry?

My brother, Dakoda White, introduced me to the HVAC world when he started at Dayco Systems.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of working in HVACR?

My team members. We work so great as a team, and we all succeed and support each other.

Describe the proudest moment in your career.

My first 5-star review validating my hard efforts in giving my all to each job. And now they just pour in.

What challenges do women face in this profession? Can you give a personal example?

Discrimination for being a woman in the male-dominated industry. A personal experience is when I went to a service call and a plug got loose on the capacitor, and when the customer had another technician out, they mentioned that if it had been a male technician on the job, this wouldn’t have happened.

How can we increase the number of women in HVACR?

Having these events showcasing that women can succeed in this field.

What does your day-to-day job entail?

Service calls, diagnostics, maintenances, and repairs.

What remains on your HVACR bucket list — what do you aspire to do that you haven’t accomplished yet?

To dive into aspects of HVAC that I’m not an expert in, such as heating maintenance.

What advice do you have for women who are considering a career in HVACR?

Don’t be affected my any negative feedback or comments you may receive. If you’re passionate about what you do, you will succeed.
