The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) recently announced that it will delay ballot on LEED 2012 until June 1, 2013. Because of this date change, LEED 2012 is being renamed LEED v4.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced that it is delaying the ballot on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) 2012 until June 1, 2013. Because of the date change, the new version of LEED will be known as LEED v4. USGBC will also have a fifth public comment period on the new version.
Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) has been joined by 55 other members of Congress from both parties in sending a letter to General Services Administration (GSA) Acting Administrator Daniel Tangherlini, requesting the agency reconsider use of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) 2012 rating system for federal buildings.
In HVAC terms, Malcolm Rowe may have the coolest home in Putnam County, N.Y. Rowe recently constructed a 5,800-square-foot residence boasting an immaculate energy envelope. The home, finished in July 2011, is Energy Star rated, EPA Indoor AirPLUS labeled, and is pending LEED accreditation.
