Currently, there are more than 1,755 LEED-certified industrial facilities worldwide, totaling more than 496 million square feet encompassing 2,710 registered projects totaling nearly 737 million square feet. The report also showcases many of the most impressive LEED-certified industrial facilities in the world.

Now in its sixth year, the ranking examined the total institutional and commercial square footage of LEED-certified space per resident certified throughout 2015, based on U.S. Census data. Illinois retained its top national position for the third year in a row, with 161 LEED certifications representing 3.43 square feet of certified space per resident.

Wiegmann Associates announced it has completed work on a new LEED-certified refrigerated food distribution center for The Chefs’ Warehouse in Las Vegas. As engineer of record and mechanical and controls construction manager, Wiegmann designed and installed all refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and a building automation system.
