The Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has announced the 2014 Best of Green Schools recipients, recognizing 10 individuals, institutions, projects, and events representing the national leaders and innovators in school sustainability for the year.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced that it will allow Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) users to register projects under the LEED 2009 rating system until Oct. 31, 2016. The original date for LEED 2009 registration to close was June 15, 2015.
