While most efficiency retrofits take place because the building owner is looking to reduce energy costs, government policy and incentives are a growing influence. According to a report from Pike Research, the combination of government policies and financial incentives will drive rapid growth in retrofits over the remainder of the decade.
In addition to the top-of-the-ticket candidates, I urge contractors to put just as much research in what candidates on the local level believe because these people have a much more direct impact on how an HVAC contractor’s business will operate on a day-by-day basis.
