The European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) hosted a debate on June 30 organized by PubAffairs entitled “Heating and cooling in the Energy Union project: the challenges ahead for implementing an efficiency-based energy approach.”

A Netherlands-based consortium called Energiesprong brokered a deal between affordable housing associations and builders to retrofit 111,000 homes in the Netherlands to net zero energy levels. Net zero energy means that, on an annual basis, a home does not consume more energy than it produces.

I was on the East Coast conducting seminars for two great companies, Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning in Rochester, New York, and Wooldridge Heating Air & Electrical in Lynchburg, Virginia. One is in the North and outgoing and the other is in the South and laid-back. Those are the differences. Now for the similarities.
