The
presidential election is moving fast upon us, but unlike our candidates who
must wait until November to find out their fate, I am well aware that my tenure
as HARDI president will end on Oct. 9 in Orlando, Florida at the 2012 HARDI
Annual Conference.
“As this magazine makes its way across the country, I am optimistic that many of you are feeling the strong heat and humidity of summer. I want to encourage you not to lose focus on the bigger picture - growing and improving your business. The HARDI organization is as busy as ever making sure that the role we play is vital in helping you carve out your competitive advantage.” Those are the words of Bud Mingledorff, HARDI president. What else does the association have planned for the rest of 2012?
One of the benefits of being President of HARDI is the opportunity to travel and meet with other HARDI members throughout the country and get a sense of how business is going for our members and how HARDI is doing as an association. As I approach the mid-point of my tenure, I can safely say that I have a good feeling about the state of HARDI and of HVACR distribution.
I am extremely pleased and excited to introduce Distribution Center Magazine’s inaugural issue. This kick-off edition culminates endless hours of planning and development involving HARDI members, staff, and BNP Media. Once you have finished reading this content-rich resource, I know you will join me in expressing appreciation for everyone’s individual contributions to this world-class publication.
