Weigel is a mechanical and civil engineer with expertise in design, research, and commissioning. Weigel holds a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is a registered Professional Engineer as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. Weigel has experience designing mechanical building systems, performing detailed mechanical load calculations and life cycle cost analyses, coordinating the LEED design process, and de-veloping a commercial building/site selection evaluation framework for minimizing energy consumption.
