Lorenz Hofmann
Lorenz Hofmann is vice president of custom air handling and modular solutions, Vertiv. From 2013 to 2019, he led the global thermal engineering and program management team that was responsible for customer fulfillment, technology, product development, program management, and life cycle support for data center cooling products at Vertiv/Emerson.
Prior to Vertiv/Emerson, Lorenz was the vice president of Trane Commercial HVAC Engineering for Ingersoll Rand from 2008 to 2012 as well as holding a variety of domestic and international leadership roles at Ford Motor Company in research, design, development, and automotive assembly from 1997 to 2008.
Lorenz earned his Ph.D. and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
