Aysegul Gogus Ph.D., P.E., S.E.
Aysegul Gogus is an engineering principal at HGA. She works with engineering teams and business development firmwide to expand the office’s in-house seismic services, further building HGA’s engineering reputation as a national seismic design leader. She has a Ph.D. and master’s degree in structural and earthquake engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. Her structural engineering experience is specialized in seismic assessment and retrofit of existing buildings, seismic design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, and performance-based seismic design. She has contributed to industry knowledge through academic research, speaking engagements, and national committee work on seismic topics.
