Nancy Kohout PE, LEED AP BD+C
Nancy Kohout, PE, LEED AP BD+C, is a Principal, Mechanical Engineering Leader, and sits on the board of directors at SmithGroup. She has more than 20 years of experience in the building design industry and is an expert in comprehensive mechanical design for hospitality, mixed-use, workplace, higher education, science and technology, health care, and municipal clients. She was recognized as “20 Women to Watch in HVAC” by Engineered Systems magazine in 2021. Kohout is currently serving on the board of ASHRAE’s Illinois chapter and is active in the Women in ASHRAE subcommittee. She received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University.
