NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Ferguson appointed Carlton Harwood vice president for HVAC. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s growing HVAC business, which includes more than 130 locations dedicated to selling HVAC equipment, parts and supplies. He succeeds Alex Hutcherson, who is now Ferguson’s chief operating officer.

Harwood joined Ferguson in 1988, and spent 10 years with its HVAC group before holding leadership positions throughout the company, including vice president of hospitality and facilities maintenance business. He rejoined the HVAC group in August 2015 to lead their efforts in Florida, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.

A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Harwood is a 1987 graduate of James Madison University.
