Control Techniques, an Emerson Industrial Automation business, recently marked its 40th anniversary. The motor control technology manufacturer has its global headquarters in the United Kingdom and its Americas headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. Originally founded as KTK on Oct. 4, 1973, the company became Control Techniques on Dec. 9, 1975. It was later acquired by Emerson on Nov. 30, 1994.
“I am proud to be leading this fantastic company,” said Enrique Miñarro Viseras, president of Control Techniques. “I would like to thank all employees, past and present, for the hard work that they have put in over the past 40 years to make Control Techniques the global success story it is today."
Last year, Control Techniques launched the Unidrive M, a family of drives dedicated specifically to the manufacturing automation market. The company said in the near future it will launch a range of products targeted at each of the other main market sectors.
“I believe that our ongoing commitment to technical innovation will ensure Control Techniques’ continued success,” said Viseras.
