The second International Conference and Workshop on Transactive Energy has been set for December 10-11, 2014, at the World Trade Center in Portland, OR. The event is presented by the GridWise® Architecture Council and Smart Grid Oregon.
Conference organizers said the meeting will host representatives of government, industry, utilities, vendor organizations, and academia interested in advancing transactive energy. Transactive energy is an approach that aims to combine economic and control techniques to improve power grid reliability and efficiency.
The 2014 conference also has support from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the Bonneville Power Administration, Portland General Electric, and others.
Organizers are currently looking for keynote and plenary speakers, as well as developing a schedule. More information will be available on the GridWise Architecture Council website here.
