The Air Conditioning Contractors of America Educational Institute (ACCA-EI) Standards Task Team (STT) announced an ANSI public review period for its BSR/ACCA 5 QI -201x, "HVAC Quality Installation Specification" as a revised industry standard. The 45-day public review period started on January 16, 2015 with a comment deadline of March 2, 2015.

The revised standard details the nationally recognized minimum criteria for the proper installation of HVAC systems in residential and commercial applications. The standard applies to HVAC equipment and components being installed in new and existing residential and commercial buildings.
