Distech Controls has named Scott Hamilton as vice president of sales. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Hamilton will be responsible for sales channels across the Americas, Australia, and Asia as well as the organization’s OEM channel and Distech Controls Energy Services.
Having spent his career in product businesses focused on the commercial construction market, Hamilton most recently served as head of Automation Channels at Siemens Building Technologies where he was responsible for sales, operations, and business development for the system integrator, reseller, and OEM channels.
Hamilton is based out of Boston and holds a degree in science business administration with a specialization in management and marketing from Northeastern University.
“Incredibly complementary to the Distech Controls story, Scott’s unique background is one of having started in the electrical, lighting-focused world and then migrated over to the mechanical side with building management systems,” said Martin Villeneuve, president of Distech Controls. “A proven sales industry expert, Scott’s hands-on customer experience and remarkable people skills will undoubtedly play an integral role going forward in connecting buildings and occupants with Distech Controls’ innovative solutions for enhanced health, productivity, and efficiency.”
