GAITHERSBURG, Md. — The NEBB board of directors named Jeffrey Schools, NEBB CP, as the 2019-2020 NEBB President during the board of directors meeting held in New Orleans last month. Schools succeeds Jim Whorton, who served as the 2018-2019 NEBB president.
Schools has been working with a NEBB-certified firm since 1990 and served as president-elect of NEBB as well as on the executive finance committee, board of directors, chapter affairs committee, and as president and technical committee chairman of the MAEBA NEBB chapter.
"I am humbled and honored to be appointed to serve as NEBB's 2019-2020 president by our hard-working board of directors," said Schools. "I plan to continue on the path laid out by the presidents who came before me and assure that NEBB remains the industry leader in firm and individual certification by providing superlative education and training programs. With the help of the NEBB board, staff, and multiple volunteers, we will be able to prove that we are a valuable resource."

Schools currently serves as the vice president of Fisher Balancing Co., based in Williamstown, New Jersey. He attended Temple University and completed a four-year apprenticeship program with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 in Philadelphia. He currently provides testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) services for all major construction projects and the majority of hospitals located in the Tri-State Area.
