Inside a board room at a downtown hotel in Norfolk, Virginia, 13 contractors from around the country convened in search of ways to improve their businesses. It was a semi-annual meeting of the ACCA MIX Group “Nothing But Net.”
ACCA, the indoor environment and energy efficiency association, has published its latest ComforTool for contractor members to help educate customers. The new addition to this series of fliers, “Orphan Gas Appliances,” explains what orphan appliances are, why they are dangerous, and how to correct the issue.
ACCA announced that its Contractor Comfort Index (CCI) has reached 81 for April, the highest the CCI has ever been in the four years the association has tracked contractors’ opinions on short-term economic growth. The CCI is up from 73 in March.
The score is calculated based on a survey of the association’s contractor members, who are asked how positive they feel about new business prospects, existing business activity, and expected staffing decisions in the short-term future.
The conference featured several MainStage sessions, more than 30 Learning Labs, and the IE3 Expo, giving contractors heaps of knowledge to take home and implement in their business practices.
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America – Southeast Michigan (SEMIACCA) Chapter will hold its 2014 Trade Show & Educational Expo on May 1 from 3-8 p.m. at the Laurel Manor Banquet & Conference Center, Livonia, Mich.
ACCA Ohio has announced the installation of its 2014-15 board of directors and officers. The board was installed at the 2014 ACCA/PHCC Ohio Convention and Expo in Columbus, Ohio, which was held March 26-28. The new officers officially took their positions at the Annual Installation Banquet.
