Established in 2013, the Potsdam, New York-based St. Lawrence Health System is the largest employer in St. Lawrence County with 1,400-plus employees operating two hospitals and several extension outpatient facilities.
According to the latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics analysis, STEM — science, technology, engineering and math — professions are expected to grow 8.8% between 2018 and 2028, compared to just 5.0% for all other occupations.
The language of the statute makes clear that Congress intended to establish a high bar for the DOE to go beyond the levels in ASHRAE Standard 90.1, an intention clearly reflected by its decision to require a heightened evidentiary standard.
