Patti Gunderson

Patti Gunderson, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, is a Mechanical Engineer in SmithGroupJJR’s Washington, D.C. office. As a member of the Cultural and Learning Studio, she’s been a critical team member for mechanical system designs throughout the Mid-Atlantic, as well as for overseas projects. Ms. Gunderson performs energy and loads analyses, system design and specification, and construction administration — all with a keen focus on integrated, sustainable and efficient solutions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. Previous degrees in Music, Philosophy and Literature, and a former career as a musician and graphic artist, mean she comes by her collaborative and creative teaming style naturally.
