Nortek Inc. announced that it has acquired the HVAC distribution business of privately owned Phoenix Wholesale Inc. Operating out of five facilities in Arizona, including locations in Flagstaff, Tempe, and Tucson, the business will be integrated into Nortek’s Residential Heating and Cooling (RHC) segment.

Less than one year after opening its Anaheim, California, location, AC Pro (formerly MSI HVAC), a wholesale supplier in Southern California and Nevada, has announced the addition of a new location in Riverside, California.

The University of Industrial Distribution (UID), an educational program focused on serving the wholesale distribution industry, announced that it has officially changed its name to the University of Innovative Distribution (UID). Founded in 1994, UID is sponsored and managed by 35 leading industry trade associations.

First Power and Light Inc. has formally changed its name to VOLT Solar Systems Inc. The company also announced the opening of a new office in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

WinWholesale Inc. has opened a new 256,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Denver to serve operating locations mainly in the western United States. The opening is five months after another newly constructed 200,000-square-foot regional distribution center began operation in Middletown, Conn.
