Green is driving me crazy. The incessant nattering of a world hawking a green utopia has me up some nights doing research on products, practices, and legislation that promise to save me money, improve my life, and extend the life of the Earth. The problem lies in the definition of green or the lack thereof.
I am the first to admit I am not a techie, and I am certainly not an early adopter of new technology. But since my slow start, I have become a complete convert to the world of social media.
Contractors point at high school guidance counselors, ill-informed parents, and the lack of positive industry PR as obstacles they face in hiring top-notch talent. Instead of complaining about things you really have no control over, contractors need to roll up their sleeves and overcome those obstacles.
I’ve been following the attention to green since way back to the mid-80s with the first wave of changes in refrigerants related to first ozone depletion and then global warming.
Today, approximately 90 top executives are gathering in Park City, Utah for a strategic summit. There, they will meet face-to-face, and they will talk.
