Charity is great, and charitable giving is important. However, when you’re running a business, you should strive to gain any advantage you can.

The following remarks were made regarding the “Carrier to Relocate Indianapolis Operations” article, published Feb. 29, 2016, in The NEWS.

While it’s easy to get lost in the marathon that is a presidential election, it’s essential we all study the issues that matter most to us; vocalize why those points are imperative to ourselves, our employees, and our businesses; and vote accordingly.

Carrier is learning that the hard way after announcing its plans to relocate its Indianapolis manufacturing operations to a location near existing Carrier manufacturing facilities in Monterrey, Mexico, last month.

No matter how hard you try, some people just can’t be satisfied. What if you could go back in time and hear from other businesses in your town about this specific consumer? With that information at hand, you might say thanks, but no thanks, when that customer rings your phone.
